The Houston Z Bar Hanger works by utilising a secure interlocking system to mount items flush against a wall. The system is composed of two identical Z-shaped aluminium strips of the same or different lengths. One strip is included. Buy two for a pair. To install, one strip is securely fastened to the wall with screws, oriented so its “Z” profile faces up and out. The second strip is then attached to the back of the item you intend to hang, such as a mirror, cabinet, or picture frame, but is oriented in the opposite direction, with its “Z” profile facing down and in. The clever Z-shape allows the two profiles to slot into each other when the item is lowered onto the wall-mounted strip, creating a continuous and robust mechanical grip along the entire length of the strip. This method eliminates the need for multiple small, separate hanging points, simplifying the installation and ensuring a strong hold that keeps the hung item securely and level against the wall. The specific design of the Houston, with its 19mm projection, creates a gap between the item and the wall, and its 16mm lift-off ensures a stable and secure connection once the two parts are interlocked.
